Approach

The project MICEV has basically 5 technical goals which are stated below. They are split in four technical work packages (WP's). Two additional WP's handle the Impact and the project management.

Technical GOALS

A To develop and characterise a power measurement unit (PwMU) archetype measuring magnetic and electric quantities (100 uT up to 150 kHz, power up to 200 kW)
B Realization of a calibration facility to perform traceable calibration and characterization of power measurement systems for IPT (relative uncertainty of 10-3)
C To develop methods to determine the efficiency of a static wireless power transfer system with a relative uncertainty of 10-3. Benchmarking activity on partner plants
D To define the requirements for a power measurement system for dynamic IPT (DIPT)
E To set up a system for traceable calibration of magnetic field meters and gradiometers for 10 kHz to 150 kHz and up to 100 uT and field gradients up to 100 uT/m with both sinusoidal and non-sinusoidal waveforms
